Hayclover spends the late summer weaving fragrant hay to insulate the burrows of hibernating hedgehogs. His nimble fingers can tie a secure square knot in a single strand of dried rye grass in the blink of an eye. He smells permanently of sweet alfalfa and wildflowers.
